Support services in The Hague

If you are in danger right now, call 112. If you are thinking about suicide, call 113 free at any hour, or use the 113 chat if you are calling from a foreign number. For an urgent mental health crisis that is not life-threatening, call your own GP or, in the evening, at night and at weekends, the Hadoks out-of-hours GP service on 070 346 96 69; they can bring in the regional crisis team.

For domestic violence, call Veilig Thuis on 0800 2000 for free advice, even if you are unsure. After sexual violence, the Centrum Seksueel Geweld answers 0800-0188 day and night. Fier also runs a 24-hour advice line.

Newcomers can start at The Hague International Centre in City Hall, and ACCESS offers a free first call with an on-call counsellor. Most specialist mental health care in the Netherlands needs a GP referral, so registering with a GP early helps.
