Support services in Brussels

If you are in danger right now, call 112. For emotional support in English at any hour, the Community Help Service (CHS) helpline is run by trained volunteers for the international community, and CHS also has a mental health centre with English-speaking practitioners.

If you are having suicidal thoughts, the Centre de Prévention du Suicide (0800 32 123) and Télé-Accueil (107) answer day and night in French; Dutch speakers can call 1813 or 106. Women facing violence from a partner can call the free Écoute Violences Conjugales line (0800 30 030), which arranges further help, including shelter places, so you do not need to know where a shelter is.

After sexual violence, the Centre de Prise en charge des Violences Sexuelles at Saint-Pierre hospital is open around the clock. Migrants and refugees can get mental health care through Exil and Ulysse. Most services ask you to phone first.
